| so yeah, i know...long time. i read everyone's xanga that i'm subscribed to every morning but i just don't think people read mine, mostly because i just never get comments...but i guess i have to comment to get people to remember that i exist and then read my entries then comment...so it's a give and take relationship xanga is...so i think we need to start over (xanga and i).
i'm almost finished with school...i dont' know how much more is left but i know that i'm almost done at San Jac. I'm going to John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas (about 100 miles east of Tulsa, Oklahoma) to pursue a degree in International Studies with a focus on Peace Studies, and probably minoring in some sort of Theology or Biblical Studies. i'll be workin in the UN in no time at all. i will be leaving this summer to go there. at the beginnning of the summer i'll be a couselor for my church's youth camp called "Quaker Haven", where i became a Christ follower (aka: Christian) and i'm really excited how God is goin to move there and how i'm goin to be involved in that! i'll be a leader for highschool and jr. high. Then afterwards i'll be goin to Haviland, Kansas to visit quite a few close friends that i've aquired over the past year or 8. If you are interested in this wonderful town in Kansas that has all these great people then look it up on the map...it probably is a place that everyone should visit: a vacation spot, if you will. that is my summer and what i have planned. no mission trips out of the country, no road trips with friends, no young life work crew, summer staff, interning...but i think that this "relaxing" summer is going to be one of my last non-committed summers.
oh spring break pretty much was more boring than school. went to the beach a few times. but other than that...lame:)
last night was volleyball, and my team, we defintely had a connection, team work, all three of us. and after two games i got kicked off the team. i'm not sure that there was a specific reason for it, but it might have had something to do with the lack of trust in our team...so maybe that whole "teamwork" talk was a big lie. but you actually can never tell when i'm lying, i'm that good. but i don't lie. so then you are pretty much safe.
i'll try to use my time unwisely more often and update xanga...but we'll see how productive this post really is.
| Well, it's been a while, and i don't get much talk on my xanga site, so this actually might be my last one cause although i enjoy writing about my happenings of my life and things i learn, this just isn't on my priority list.
So in the past two weeks i've been to Copper Mountain, Colorado and Witchita, Kansas.
Copper Mountain was with my family: we were there for 7 days. First day we travelled via plane, second day we snow tubed:), third-fifth we skiied and i didn't eat it once (thank you very much), and the last day we were there we snow mobiled! it was so awesome and a great way to spend the week before Christmas. We actually got home on Christams Eve day...it was wonderful.
me and momma in front of our lodge, it's snow!!!!!!!!!!!!

lil hanna on the back of a snow mobile! she was crazy

Then i got home the 24th and left the 28th to go to Witchita, Kansas for FSC (Friends Student Conference). My youth group left at 6 am that morning and drove....oh man i hate vans (especially with highschool students)
although i wasn't looking forward to it, i had more fun than i could have asked for, and learned a ton. God definetly wanted me to be there. We even celebrated New Years Eve there with a band called Morning September. It was cool!
we played broom hockey in the ice skating rink, with just tennis shoes on. it was awesomely halarious

i got to see people from Barclay college that i became friends with and that brought much joy to my heart: (me and jake!)

we had a great new years eve party

played some games

jumped for joy at the stroke of midnight on January 1st, 2006!

and me with my new favorite person: justin!

this might be one of the top reasons that he is my new favorite person:

gotta love him. haha well i'm home and got two weeks before classes start! yay!

| yeah...i don't update often.
from december 18 till december 24 i was in Copper Mountain, Colorado with the family. it was awesome. one day of tubing, three days of hard core skiing, and one day of a snowmobile tour.
i'm leaving wednesday morning till the 1st of January for FSC (Friend's Student Conference) with my church youth. it'll be fun. i'm dissappointed though cause i wanted to celebrate new years at home..
next semester i'll be receiving my associates in behavioral science with a total of 62 hours of college credits under my belt.
that's all i've got to say about that on here
| This past few weeks since i've been back have been...in a word...sour. BUT when perverse situations come along, there is one thing that has now stolen my heart in making me smile, joyious, delighted, chipper, mirthful and satisfied....it is called GeoCache-ing. I, along with 7 others me and Leslie mustered up, GeoCache-d all night long last night. It was...in one word...numero uno (i know that's two words but just go with it) | | |

I truly did have an excursion to Kansas to visit Barclay college this past weekend. Shall we start at the beginning?
I left Thursday morning at 8 am (i wanted to leave earlier but i was runnin a little behind), i finally get on I-45 N after loading my truck up, gettin gas, and grabbing some breakfast. I was super excited and ready for this long trip. Of course i printed out "Mapquest" directions which SUCCCCCCCCCCCCCKEEDDDDDDD! i don't recommend them:) so this trip is estimated to be a good 11 hour trip (at least). Driving, driving, driving: i get to OK

and it's pretty much a straight shot through: I-35 N...straight from Texas to Kansas...but i get lost. and it adds MUCH time to my trip

but it's ok...don't stress out cause i did make it to the Kansas border

So i finally get there and Chelsea (went to Rwanda, Africa with her) and Bryanna (went to Manila, Philippines with me for a week) met me with warm hugs and excitement. We went to the guys basketball game Barclay vs. NWOSU (northwestern oklahoma state university). We lost real bad. Friday i went to 4 classes: Greek 3, Child & Adolesent Psych, Hermenutics, and Choir. HAD SO MUCH FUN! we went to a neighboring town called Greensburg and went "shopping" at antique and thrift stores and even went to a real soda fountain (where the lady has the syrup and mixes it with the carbonation):
(Bryanna, me and Annalisa)

then we hung around and had some good talks. THEN we played "dictionary". those crazy Kansasnites come up with the weirdest games when they have nothing else to do in a town of 700 people and a total of 136 students enrolled in the college.
Saturday i left after brunch and saying my goodbyes to some awesome people that i love now and headed to Booker, TX where some pretty fun people live. so i get to Booker and meet up with Danny and he showed me around his town of 1,240 people (which took about 5 minutes) and then he took me to his house to meet his fam whom i LOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE:

see that little thing in the middle of the picture? that's Danny's house from the dirt road. and i found my way back home without gettin lost!

anyways, i had super fun and i can't wait to go back cause this is the place i want to be to learn what the Lord has in store for me. pray that everything goes smoothly in the process of gettin ready for this college:) love me!
